Co-director of hit movie “Jesus Revolution” John Erwin said Wednesday that the hit flick is on its way to Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, and will soon premiere in the U.K and parts of Latin America.

Christian Headlines reported that the flick grossed more than $52 million domestically and remained in the Top 10 most popular films for more than five weeks. The movie has also launched a slew of new Christian cinema projects, and helped bring the industry into the mainstream consciousness. Now, the film is going international. And we couldn’t be more excited!

“Entertainment is America’s second-largest export behind agriculture,” Erwin told CH. “So when you make something popular in the U.S., and when an audience really champions it, they send it around the world. “The whole reason we made the movie was if God did it before it, God can do it again,” Erwin continued. “The world needs a Jesus revolution, perhaps now more than any other time in my lifetime.”
