President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, reached a tentative deal with federal prosecutors, Tuesday, to plead guilty to two charges of tax crimes and a gun charge.

The proposed plea deal still has to be approved by a federal judge, but if it is, then Hunter Biden would likely be able to remain out of prison, the Washington Post reported. The deal was negotiated by Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, and is likely to face scrutiny, the left-leaning outlet stated.

Details in the deal include Hunter’s agreement to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges related to his failure to pay in 2017 and 2018. His current tax liability for those years is roughly $1.2 million, according to sources close to the situation.

He will also plead guilty to illegally possessing a firearm. Instead of prison time, the younger Biden will most likely be entered into a diversion program generally applied to people with substance abuse problems.

Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) deputy director Mike Morell confessed under oath that the Biden campaign was behind a campaign to spread misinformation about the laptop during the 2020 election system.
