Celebrating One Year Since Roe v. Wade Was Overturned

Saturday marks the one-year anniversary since the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. How will you be celebrating?

“There’s no way to really know at this point, but the best guess that we have is about 200,000 children were born this year that would not have been born,” Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford said at a news conference, according to CBN. “That’s 200,000 kids, that’s 200,000 smiling faces on playgrounds. That’s 200,000 silly songs starting in kindergarten. That’s 200,000 families.”

Though he probably didn’t mean to, New York Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer also shared the incredible news the one in three women can no longer murder their unborn children since the landmark decision. (LEARN MORE: REPORT: Woman Says She Survived Six Abortions Attempts From Her Mother)

What are others saying about Roe v. Wade?

“At the three abortion mills in this city of Charlotte, we’ve had 176 moms that have changed their mind,” North Carolina-based pro-life activist Flip Benham told CBN. “They get on this great big mobile sonogram unit. We get them sonograms, whatever they need. We get them church families that will take them in.” (LEARN MORE: State Denies Woman’s Adoption Application Based On Her Christian Faith)
