Have you noticed that most Democrat politicians don’t talk about the debt ceiling, or have seemingly made a conscious effort to complicate the topic to the point where real Americans switch off?

While the debt ceiling does have a direct impact on us all, the way we experience the frivolous spending by elected officials is pretty complicated … until it’s not. An op-ed published in Newsweek by Newt Gingrich outlined why he feels the debt ceiling should be raised, but not in the way that President Joe Biden and his Administration would like.

Biden and a majority of “elected” Democrats want to increase America’s spending limit with “no changes, modification or reforms,” Gingrich argued. Republicans and Democratic West Virginia Sen. “Any debt ceiling increase should be done in a responsible way, with serious reforms to the pattern of government spending, that will move us back toward a balanced budget by 2033,” Gingrich noted in his op-ed. “The sheer weight of the interest on our growing national debt should convince anyone concerned about America’s future that the Republicans and Manchin are right.”

Some $16 trillion will be added to the national debt between 2023 and 2033, according to the May 2022 Congressional Budget Office report. If this is not reeled in, America will be spending more on paying off our interest than on our entire defense budget, putting us at significant risk as nations like China ramp up their globalized war efforts.

And when we say “spending,” we mean that real Americans, like you, will be footing the bill for the government’s bad behavior.

There is a reason why our government invests more in themselves than in education. The less people know about their behaviors and greed, the more they can get away with it.
