New COVID-19 Variant ‘Arcturus’ Rapidly Spreading Around The Globe: REPORT
A new variant of COVID-19’s Omicron XBB, also known as Arcturus, has spread globally after first being discovered in January 2023, according to the Epoch Times.
One of the more unique quirks of this latest lab-borne virus is the fact it gives people pink eye, known to the medical field as conjunctivitis. Countries such as the U.S., Britain, Australia, Singapore, China, and India have all reported cases of the virus, prompting experts to issue concerns about its infection rate. But we’ve also been told not to panic.
Omicron was initially discovered in South Africa in late 2021, and has gone on to spawn seemingly countless variants. By the start of 2023, the XBB variant was identified, as is believed to be at least 36 times more contagious than other strains of Omicron COVID-19.
