US Capitol Bible Reading Marathon Starts April 22nd! Here’s What You Need To Know
The 34th annual National Capitol Bible Reading Marathon starts Saturday at the U.S. Capitol complex, the first since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Christian Post.
Ministry group Seedline International are leading the charge with this year’s event, which starts at 2pm on the West Terrace of the Capitol. The reading marathon will continue through to 10am on April 26. (LEARN MORE: Watch And Be Inspired By Asbury Revival’s Inter-Denominational Phenomenon)
Throughout the event, groups of volunteers will take turns to read every single word of the Bible, starting with Genesis, all the way through to Revelations, the Christian Post continued. Each volunteer will speak for 15 minutes before handing over to the next.

“It is our desire to publicly read God’s Holy Word on the steps of the national and state Capitols, every year, for ninety consecutive hours,” the official website describes. “Because the Bible is at the heart of America’s founding principles, it should be voiced at the heart of our Federal and state Governments, exhorting our nation to return to God’s precepts.”
