Children Who Received COVID-19 Vaccine Face Elevated Risk Of Health Complication, Federal Study Finds
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in May found that children who received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine face an enhanced risk of heart inflammation.
The study focused on children aged between 12 to 17, who were found to have a heightened risk of myocarditis and related conditions. Data was collected, collated, and published by a team of researchers from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to the Epoch Times.
The sheer number of young people experiencing the dangers side effect of the drug met the FDA’s standard for a “safety signal.” Some 89 cases were identified within 12- to 15-year-olds, and 64 cases amongst the 16- and 17-year-olds, the outlet continued.
Health Concerns Were Not Limited To Just Heart Inflammation
Other health problems related to the study included pericarditis, Bell’s palsy, appendicitis, and strokes, the Epoch Times reported. “My concern is that these data represent a gross under-reporting of the frequency and severity of COVID-19 vaccine-induced myocarditis,” cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough told the outlet via email. McCullough has consistently called for the Pfizer vaccine to be withdrawn.
“There have been [more than] 200 papers in the peer-reviewed literature and over 100 fatal documented cases largely among young men, peak ages 18–24 years, some with autopsy proven COVID-19 vaccine heart inflammation resulting in death,” he noted.
