Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the son of former 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy filed paperwork Wednesday to challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination for the 2024 presidential election.

Kennedy, 69, will officially launch his campaign in Boston April 19 at the Park Plaza Hotel, CBS News noted. He is the eldest son of former 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated the same year at the age of 42. His uncle was former President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963.

He is the only serious candidate to announce a bid against incumbent Joe Biden. He’s a former environmental lawyer who has previously focused on clean water, and the health and safety of Americans. It appears that every single liberal or even moderate news outlet seems intent on focusing on Kennedy’s skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine. From Reuters to Bloomberg, everyone was quick to note his stance within the headline or opening paragraph of their reports … as if that’s a bad thing?
