Republican Introduces 100% Property Tax Credit For Married Couples With One Specific Requirement
Do you have a huge, loving family in Texas? If you and your spouse have managed to bring 10 beautiful lives into this world, a new bill introduced Monday would ensuring that you get a 100% property tax credit.
The bill was introduced by Republican Texas State Rep. Bryan Slaton, and doesn’t just apply to married couples with 1o or more children. Families with four children, including adopted kids, would get a 40% property tax credit, according to the Houston Press. The bill only applies if the couple remain married.
“With this bill, Texas will start saying to couples: ‘Get married, stay married, and be fruitful and multiply,’” Slaton said of the bill. Slaton’s other work has focused on protecting young children from overtly sexual encounters with men dressed at women at “drag” events. The Houston Press were unfortunately incredibly biased in their report on Slaton and his incredible work supporting American families. Clearly those working at the outlet think that having a large, loving family is a form of “Christian Extremism” and is a form of “white supremacy” according to the author of the post. Thankfully, we know that His word says otherwise, and that’s all that matters.
But the bill would not be limited to just white families, which is why it was such a strange thing to read.
