One in six Democrats supports the idea that “force [is] justified to restore abortion rights,” a poll published by Chicago Project on Security Threats found in July.
“As of June 26, 2023, 12 percent of the American public – which equates to an estimated 31
million adults – supports violence to restore to the federal right to abortion. This percentage
has grown since January 2023 significantly beyond the margin of error in our surveys. The
increase is sharpest among democrats, doubling over the past 6 months,” the authors of the study wrote in their findings.
With more than 100 attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers, crisis centers, and churches in the last two years, it appears that violence is a first choice for many pro-abortion people. There have been at least 67 attacks against such centers since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in May 2022, the Washington Stand noted.
