Disney star Joshua Bassett reminded fans attending and watching the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Saturday, that God loves them, as seen in a video shared online.

“I want to say something. There are a lot of people here who are burdened, broken-hearted, and have been beaten down by life,” Bassett told the audience and families watching at home. “I’m here to tell you: for those of you who’ve lost hope, there’s a very real God who loves you more than you will ever possibly know.”

Bassett had just won the Favorite Male TV Star in a Kids’ Show Award for his role in “High School Musical: The Musical,” Christian Headlines reported. “His promise is peace, and my testimony is my healing,” he continued. “Remember: Forgive quickly, love freely and walk courageously. Love always wins in the end.”

“My name is Joshua Bassett. Long story short, I grew up Christian and I ran the other way, as far as I could go, in pursuit of the ‘truth,'” He says in the video. “That only ended in addiction, depression, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, et cetera. No other teacher gave me anywhere near the peace that Jesus Christ did. I’m here to publicly declare him as my Lord and savior.”
