Election officials appointed by Republican Virginia Gov. Glen Youngkin will remove almost 19,000 dead voter registrants from Virginia’s voter rolls, according to Breitbart.

The staggering number of dead voters were recently identified on the state’s voter rolls after officials reviewed death records  from the Virginia Department of Health. The review looked back as far as 1960, through documents that were previously unshared.

“Maintaining the accuracy and security of our voter list continues to be a top priority for ELECT as the agency transitions to the new statewide voter registration system,” Virginia Department of Elections Commissioner Susan Beals said in a statement regarding the discovery.

Virginia Is Not Alone

Pennsylvania election officials had to seemingly be forced to remove thousands of dead voters from the state’s voter rolls. The move only came after Public Interest Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit against the state.

The suit alleged that at least 21,000 dead Americans remained on the voter rolls less than a month prior to the 2020 presidential election, Breitbart reported in another article. (LEARN MORE: Biden Regulations Could See Christians, Conservatives Denied Government Employment, Critics Claim)

In 2020, dead people were reportedly found to have voted in a congressional race in upstate New York, Breitbart noted in a third article.
