Boxing Legend Says Knowing Jesus Is More Important Than Fame

During the promotional tour for his new book, former heavyweight boxer-turned pastor George Foreman told the Christian Post all about his deep relationship with Our Lord and Savior.

“You come to a point in your life and you realize the only important thing in your life is [to be] an evangelist,” Foreman told the outlet. “‘Evangelistic’ is the word that has been so powerful to me in my life. From Fighting To Faith

After a prolific career in boxing, including an Olympic Gold Medal, beating Joe Frazier in 1973, and more, Foreman retired. “I was dead. There was nothing left of me,” he continued. “I stared at nothingness, no hope. I was pulled out of this dirty place, and given a second chance to live. That has kept me grounded.”
