Former wrestler-turned-Knox County, Tennessee Mayor Glenn Jacobs, also known as Kane, gave a moving speech at Faith & Freedom Coalition’s annual Road to Majority Conference, Friday.
Jacobs told the crowd that despite a failing economy and a moment in time where “schools have become indoctrination centers,” now is a “great time to be alive,” according to the Christian Post.
“It’s a great time to be alive because the end of one cycle is approaching and a new cycle will soon begin,” Jacobs continued. He noted that “everything in nature runs in cycles,” and pointed to Ecclesiastes 3:1 as recommended reading for the end phase of our current cycle.
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven”
Jacobs pointed to cultural Marxism and the “counterrevolution to the principles of 1776” as the major existential threat to America. But “we can feel sorry for ourselves that we live in such a time or we can rejoice that we have the opportunity to shape the world that our children and our grandchildren will live in,” Jacobs stated, bringing sunlight to a dark moment.
“As people of faith, there is no challenge too big.”
Jacobs shared several powerful sentiments during his speech. He further pushed the crowd to “approach things from a place of mutual respect and friendship, you’re going to go a lot further than if you come from the perspective of constant confrontation.”
