Back in 2019, actor Tom Selleck apparently said he credits Christ with all of his success, Belief Net reported.
After serving his country from 1967 to 1973, Selleck chose to relaunch his acting career. He was initially offered roles and a deal with a major studio, but said God called upon him to serve. So he did. Once he returned, he made his way to Hollywood and landed his as the original “Magnum P.I.”
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps,” he allegedly said. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.”
Not All Glitz And Glamor
“As good as this business has been to me, that’s not what life is about,” he continued. “Life is about more important things. You know, we’ve all struggled as we get successful in this business to balance that, I certainly have.”
“I try very hard to conduct myself in an ethical way, because that’s important to my stability now,” he noted. “We’re a culture that’s so centered on the individual. The culture says that basically nothing is more important than the way you feel.”
