‘The Chosen’ Season 4 May Debut In Theaters, Creator Says

Season four of “The Chosen” may premiere in theaters, creator and director Dallas Jenkins said Sunday, according to Christian Headlines.

“We’re looking towards actually releasing all of the episodes in theaters,” Jenkins said during a live stream with Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus on the hit series. The first episodes should be released some time in January or February 2024, and it’s still unclear whether the episodes will go straight to the traditional streaming platforms or to theaters, then platforms.

Season four filming just wrapped on “The Chosen,” after it was provided a waiver to continue during the SAG and WGA Strikes.

What’s Next For ‘The Chosen?’

“I actually think this is going to be the most impactful season we’ve ever done emotionally and spiritually,” Jenkins told viewers. During the editing process, Jenkins said the season’s episodes turned out far more intense than he anticipated.

But the great news is that we have at least three more seasons of “The Chosen” to look forward to. It’s unclear what season five will entail, but season six will detail Jesus’ arrest, death, and crucifixion. “Season 7 is what happens afterwards,” Jenkins stated.

Where To Watch “The Chosen”

“The Chosen” is available via Angel Studio’s website, as well as Netflix, Roku, Tubi, Peacock, and more.
