Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed three bills on Monday to rid the state of far-leftist progressive ideologies placed into practice within the state’s higher education institutions.

One of the bills, SB 266 will “prohibit institutions from spending federal or state dollars on discriminatory initiatives, such as so called ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)’ programs,” according to the Washington Stand. Another, HB 931, will further “prohibit Florida’s public institutions from requiring students, faculty, or staff to take political loyalty tests.”

The final bill, SB 240, is designed to increase access to career and technical education programs, in the hopes that many Floridians won’t get into huge amounts of debt for pointless degrees (we assume).

It does seem that Florida is enacting many, many laws to combat the “woke mind virus” that is attempting to rewrite what it means to be American. Just a week prior to the three education bills being signed, another was put in place that made the state the only one to do a full E-Verify for employment.
