Christian film “Sound of Freedom” from Angel Studios beat out the latest “Indiana Jones” movie on America’s Independence Day.

The already hit-flick grossed more than $14 million in total with, some $11.5 million from direct box office sales and a further $2.6 million from Pay It Forward tickets sold throughout the weekend, according to the Christian Post. Disney and Lucasfilms “Indiana Jones” only brought in around $11.6 million despite being available in twice the number of theaters nationally.

Based on a true story, “Sound of Freedom” follows a federal agent after he rescues a young boy and learns that his sister is still being held captive, according to the press release from Angel Studios. The heart-pounding two-minute-long trailer introduces the viewer into the horrific world of child sex slavery and trafficking, and just how prevalent it has become in the modern world.
