Shia LaBeouf’s Journey From Suicidal Ideation To Faith

In 2022, actor Shia LaBeouf told Bishop Barron Presents that he went from contemplating suicide to renewing his faith in Christ.

“I had a gun on the table. I was outta here,” LaBeouf explained. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore when all this happened. But he had a “deep desire to hold on,” he continued. “I know now that God was using my ego to draw me to Him. Drawing me away from worldly desires. It was all happening simultaneously. He no longer wanted to pursue the sensation of happiness. His whole life was centered on the idea of joy, but it clearly wasn’t serving him. Now, he feels his purpose is to be useful, particularly when it comes to his family.
