Senate Approves Bill To Require Ten Commandments In Public School

The Texas State senate approved a bill, Thursday, that requires all public schools in the state to prominently display the Ten Commandments in every classroom.

The bill still has to pass through the Texas House of Representatives to become part of the law in the state. But this one major move in the right direction should be enough for Texans to write their lawmakers and demand they vote in favor of the bill.

“Allowing the Ten Commandments and prayer back into our public schools is one step we can take to make sure that all Texans have the right to freely express their sincerely held religious beliefs,” Texas Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said of the bill, according to The Hill.
