A Wall Street Journal-NORC poll conducted in March found that faith in God and marriage are the two biggest life choices to almost perfectly predict levels of happiness held by Americans.

Of those Americans who considered themselves “very happy,” 68% told the pollsters that they believed in God. Only 12% of Americans considered themselves to be “very happy” overall, a sad statistic. But, not surprising given that a majority were aware of the multiple crises facing our great nation right now.

It was also found that belief in God was one of the most important things to American values. So despite the poll finding the lowest overall levels of happiness ever in its history — there is always hope!

Another recent study found that those who read the Bible have “far more hope” than those who don’t. And as we’re in the middle of a Great Awakening, maybe this is your sign to read a few pages today.
