A CNBC All-America Economic poll found that 58% of Americans think its inappropriate for companies to take a public stance on political/social/cultural issues, while 32% approved of the behaviors by corporate leaders.

Republicans (71%) and Independents (61%) are the strongest groups against corporate political ideologies, whereas only 47% of Democrats think its okay. “For the most part, Americans seem less than excited that companies are wading into the political realm,” NBC said in an analysis.
