Israel Puts Forces On High Alert Throughout Easter Weekend

Israel’s government put its military forces on high alert on Good Friday after days of attacks from Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and Syria, and experts are blaming Iran, according to CBN.

It is estimated that more than 30 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon alone, with an additional six or more from Syria in recent days. Both the northern and southern regions of Israel were struck during Passover.

Israel returned fire against all three locations.

“Just last week we saw the head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, sitting together with Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, behind pictures of the imams that lead the Islamic Republic, Khamenei, and Khomeini before that. So, there’s no doubt that Iran is trying on every single front to attack the State of Israel,” Jerusalem Bureau Chief Alex Traiman told CBN.

He continued, “The Iranians are looking at what’s going on inside Israel today, and that includes the debate and the protests over judicial reform, the challenges to the current government coalition, and are recognizing that this might be a prime time to test the strength and resolve of Israelis here in Israel, and to stage attacks.”

The U.S. Navy is deploying support

The U.S. is sending a guided-missile submarine, which is capable of carrying up to 154 Tomahawk missiles, to the region, CBN continued.

Israel is experiencing a slew of attacks in recent months, and nothing seems to be slowing them down. Terror attacks inside Israel’s border have led to massive loss of life, and for seemingly no purpose other than chaos and control.
