Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’s spokesperson Christina Pushaw held nothing back while destroying the ‘entire legacy media’ in a hilarious tweet shared Thursday.

Pushaw focused her attack on the Global Disinformation Index (GDI), who define “disinformation” as “adversarial narrative conflict.” The group of individuals who run GDI state that “disinformation occurs when someone pushes an intentionally misleading narrative which is adversarial against democratic institutions, scientific consensus, or an at-risk group, and which carries the risk of harm.”

So instead of just saying “fake news,” this group has decided to call everything they believe to be harmful to the demographics most important to them as “disinformation.” Clearly Pushaw was not going to let this fly, stating that she used the definition and found “that the entire legacy media is full of disinformation about a democratic institution: the democratically elected Governor of Florida & his Administration.” Pushaw went on to tag the Miami Herald, South Florida Sun Sentinel, and the Tampa Bay Times in her post.

GDI is a George Soros-funded think tank, and has been tied to U.S. government funding. Reports have suggested that at least two State Department-backed entities have given money to the organization, Breitbart reported.

“Free speech is fundamental to preserving our liberty. If taxpayer dollars are being used to censor voices because they are critical of the administration’s disastrous policies, every American should be concerned. We need to further investigate this potential First Amendment violation,” Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson said of the situation.
