Parents Defending Education released a report in July that detailed how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), has provided $17 million to U.S. schools between 2009 and 2023.

The CCP have infiltrated American classrooms via the Confucius Classrooms program, which creates partnerships between K-12 schools, colleges, nonprofits, and the Chinese government. The partnerships have predominantly focused on the top technology and science schools, as well as 20 schools near U.S. military bases.

The program is present in 143 districts across 34 states and Washington D.C. Chinese state media is said to brag about the CCP’s influence over these educational centers, and how they further the government’s goals in the U.S.

Where Are These Programs Based?

The organization uncovered ties between the CCP and schools such as:

• Cloverport Independent School District, KY
• Minnetonka Public Schools, MN
• St. Cloud Area School District, MN
• Tulsa Public Schools, OK
• Sisters School District, OR
• Highland Park Independent School District, TX
• Seattle Public Schools, WA

The programs are also available nearly major military installations, such as San Diego Naval Base, Nellis Air Force Base, Fort Bragg, and more.
