The Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is threatening to revoke the accreditation of a Catholic hospital in Oklahoma because there was a candle burning in the hospital’s chapel, apparently.

In what can only be described as the most obvious attack against Christians and religious freedoms in America, the Joint Commission under HH’S Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services sent a letter to St. Francis Health System in Tulsa, claiming that the candle burning in the chapel violated federal safety codes. The letter could lead to the hospital losing its funding, according to The Washington Stand.

If this should happen, Medicare, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) would lose funding. The hospital is the 12th largest in the nation.

The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and law firm Yetter Coleman LLP have threatened legal action against HHS on behalf of the hospital. “You are trying to extinguish not just a candle, but the First Amendment rights of Saint Francis Health System, as well as vital healthcare for the elderly, poor, and disabled in Oklahoma,” the groups wrote in an open letter on May 2.

The Biden Administration’s consistent attacks against religious organizations, groups, and more, shows his blatant disregard for our rights. It also feels like a targeted set of attacks that will be looked back upon horrendously for the Biden Admin. He is doing irreparable damage to his party, his voters, and those associated with his tyranny.
