The Outcry of God’s People
PRAY THE RHEMA WORD
An outcry of God‘s people moves the heart of the father. This isn’t because God needs to be cajoled into action. But rather, desperation in our own hearts to throw off the bondage and suffering that were under is necessary to receive the new life that’s coming.
We cannot be content to wish for something new. The weight and shape of the new thing will not be sustained or recognized by a wishful heart. and when God sends us a deliverer in an unlikely form, if we are not desperate and dependent on him, we may reject him. Like Jesus was rejected by those in his day, so to can we reject the deliverance of God if we are not crying out for God to come and save where only He can save.
The deep, groaning cries of the people of God for freedom and deliverance creates in our dependence and desperation for God. And so today we cry out for a deliverer. We confess our utter dependence on God as He is the only one who can save us. Come in your power and your love and do what you’ve promised. Set your people free.
