Generational Covenant Seed and Promise

Exodus 3:6

[God] said also, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

God is a covenant-keeping God, keeping His covenant with every generation. Isaiah 31:2 tells us that God does not retract His words. All that He promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is still true and active today. We are in this moment because of what God spoke long ago. God, we thank You that You are faithful even when we are unfaithful to You.

Today we are praying for protection against further trauma being inflicted on our nation during this week’s Supreme Court hearings, and for a restoration of the original design of our governmental covenant, outlined in the U.S. Constitution. Former U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger said, “The Declaration of Independence was the promise; the Constitution was the fulfillment.”

The heart of Jesus is that we would walk in liberty, not trauma. The fear of the Lord keeps us in wisdom, understanding, and truth.

Our government structure was founded on a separation of powers, inspired by Isaiah 33:22“For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us.” Preservation of the separation of powers has held our nation together thus far; it is what has “saved us”. Pray today for the upholding of First Amendment rights to include speech, peaceful assembly, and religious freedom.

Declare

  • Jesus is the Liberty Covering over us.
  • An impartation of Jesus as the covenantal covering over Capitol Hill; all connections to trauma are severed and broken in His name.
  • Accusation, demands for retraction, and assaults on freedom are being hung on their own gallows.
  • What God has started cannot now be stopped.

Call forth the seed:

On this day, October 12, in 1565, Jean Ribault, a Huguenot, was martyred for his faith on American soil. The Huguenots were a Protestant sect who fled religious persecution in Europe seeking religious freedom in the New World. Ribault and many of his men were murdered for their refusal to renounce Protestantism by Spanish forces at Fort Caroline, in the area of what is now Jacksonville, Florida. He was murdered for not bowing to a state-run religion, illustrating the danger when covenant is violated and there is no separation of powers.

Huguenot worship was deeply marked by the singing of the Psalms. Ribault died chanting Psalm 132, substituting his name for David’s:

Lord, remember me
And all my afflictions;
How I swore to the Lord,
And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
“Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house,
Or go up to the comfort of my bed;
I will not give sleep to my eyes
Or slumber to my eyelids,
Until I find a place for the Lord,
A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

These words became a seed deposited into the destiny of the land that would later become the United States of America, to establish a people who tabernacle with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Covenant seeds sown in the land are still alive, carrying a life that will come forth. Call forth this destiny seed that we as individuals and as a nation would embody the presence and glory of the Living God alive in us.
