Cry Out And Contend

CRY OUT
Heb. 4:14-16; Ps. 34:14-18

The Hebrew word for “cry” in Ex. 3:7 is tsa`aqah, which is one of those words that sounds like what it’s describing – a cry from the deepest place of a person, literally a loud noise like a shriek; a cry of distress; an outcry for relief. As the people of God, we are crying out, saying we can’t live under these taskmasters any longer. So we speak strength and confidence to the Body of Christ to persevere in contending prayer in this hour.

We can rise up because God has arisen, as prayed yesterday.
As the people of God, we are crying out, saying we can’t live this way anymore.
We cry out for a FACE TO FACE ENCOUNTER WITH LOVE HIMSELF (Gen. 32:30 – “Penu-EL”) on behalf of those who are aware of their oppression and also for those who do not even know they are enslaved. That they would see their bondage but experience their Deliverer instead of their taskmasters.

Ps. 34:4-8 – I sought the Lord, and He answered me And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him. And rescues them. O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

Isa. 52:8 – Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices, They shout joyfully together; For they will see with their own eyes when the LORD restores Zion.

Declare:

Arise, shine, people of God – Isa. 60:1
God is our great confidence and He will deliver us (2 Cor. 3:4 – Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.)
The people of God will not fall into apathy or passivity. We will not allow fear to stifle our cries.
We are crying out for this nation to have a face to face encounter with the Living God, our Rescue, and our Hope. We cry out for our fellow men and women who are suffering and afflicted and don’t even realize they are enslaved.
