The Story Of The Asbury Revival Told Through Short Documentary. Watch Today!

Over the course of what was supposed to be 10 days in February, thousands of people traveled to a chapel at Asbury University, Kentucky. At the school, these people would take part in a 24-hour non-stop worship and prayer service.

Sojourner Films released an eight minute documentary on the Asbury Revival.

What was supposed to be a small event turned into one of the greatest.

Students from at least 22 colleges and countless towns, states, and countries made their way to the chapel. Revivals are part of the school’s normal practice, but nothing could prepare the staff and students for the outpouring of love felt in His name.

“The university made an intentional decision not to publicize this because we wanted to place an abundance of respect toward the experience of our students,” Asbury President Kevin Brown noted to NBC News. (LEARN MORE: Watch And Be Inspired By Asbury Revival’s Inter-Denominational Phenomenon)

But now, the Asbury Revival is the subject of a beautiful documentary.

Titled “Asbury Outpouring,” the documentary was shared on YouTube. While we’ll usually describe video content in our articles at Change.MillionVoices, we feel everyone should witness.

The documentary was directed by Jon Snyder, who captured videos of the worship services. He spoke to students and visitors from around the world to explore what brought them to this place and this time.

Snyder said that God “revealed to me that He wanted this story to be told to inspire and encourage college and university students everywhere to radically pursue Him as the students of Asbury did.”

Have you attended the Asbury Revival or plan to go to another?

If so, let us know what you think! There’s no reason why we can’t create these beautiful centers of love, faith, and purpose in every college campus. All we have to do is come together in our unconditional love and faith.
