State Votes To Protect Minors From Gender Transition Despite Heated Interruptions

Republican Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen signed a combination bill Monday to protect minors from gender transition surgeries and to limit abortions to under 12 weeks gestation, the Washington Stand reported.

“Protecting our children is critically important,” Sen. Kathleen Kauth said at signing of LB574. “I brought LB574 because we have too many kids who are being swept up in what is a social contagion, and being told that … if they just switch their gender, they’ll be fine, everything will be great. That’s not true.”

Protests And Interruptions

But the bill signing provoked a heated response from its opponents, with Democrat senators who are pro-transgender surgeries for minors engaging in a filibuster. Protestors also interrupted the session, forcing a recess until order was restored. Four people were arrested for refusing to leave, and others yelled obscenities, chanted, and hurled dirty tampons at senators.

The legislature voted 33-15 to pass LB574, the margin required to break the filibuster. (LEARN MORE: World Expert Says Transgenderism Is ‘Mental Disorder,’ Sex Changes Are ‘Biologically Impossible,’ And The Industry Will Collapse Like Eugenics Did)
