“Protect Women Ohio” launched a multi-million-dollar media campaign throughout the state in mid-March to combat an incredibly dangerous piece of legislation that would undo so many protections for women, parents, and children.

“Ohio women need to reject the abortion industry’s dangerous amendment, which would outlaw basic health and safety protections for women, eliminate parental notification and consent laws that protect minor girls, and allow painful abortions up until birth in our state,” the group’s official website reads.

Why are lawmakers trying to remove parental rights?

Ohio lawmakers are trying to legalize a process that would allow minor children to receive abortions and undergo the fallacy of sex-change surgery without their parent’s knowledge, Cincinnati Right To Life wrote in their coverage of the campaign. Legal analysis of the law was published by the National Review in March. The language in the depiction of the bill is borderline libelous, as appears to promote access to abortions for Ohio women. In reality, many of their basic health and safety rights would be removed should it come into law.
