4 Suspects Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Up Missouri Church

Four people, including two minors, were arrested and charged with a shooting at a Mennonite church in Missouri, according to the Christian Post.

All four suspects are teenagers, and were taken into custody on Sunday, the outlet continued. Together, they stand accused of firing more than 50 9mm rounds into the Clearview Church of Morgan County the day before. Authorities responding to the scene found “obvious damage to the church,” but its unclear whether anyone was hurt as the shooting occurred in the early hours Saturday morning.

Local law enforcement  arrested 18-year-old Bryce Martin 18-year-old Zachary Stauffer and two minors aged 14 and 17-years, Christian Post continued. “Bryce Martin and Zachary Stauffer are being held in the Morgan County Jail with No Bond. The property damage is charged as a hate crime,” Sheriff Norman Dills said in a statement shared on Facebook.

The suspects pleaded not guilty, according to KOMU.

There have been at least 420 acts of hostility against churches in the U.S. in the last 5 years.
